White Christmas at Betsy's in Brooklin

Looks like it is going to be a white Christmas after all. A few inches of the white stuff fell last night and is coating everything ! Beautiful. We have had no time to ad to this blog the last few weeks because we have been so busy with Holiday shoppers! Lots of new customers have been finding their way to our door as well as our loyal regulars. Thanks to all who have been spreading the word, we really appreciate it. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and we look forward to a happy and successful New Year in 2011!
Last minute Santa's, don't forget we will be open Christmas Eve until 7pm with holiday cheer, goodies and gift wrapping. Merry Christmas from Betsy and Greg!

Holidays are Here

Winter has arrived with a snowy blast and temps are falling here on the coast of Maine.
We are enjoying a busy and exciting Holiday Season, our first of many hopefully!
So many new folks have discovered Betsy's Sunflower from near and has been so much fun meeting everyone and introducing our new shop and all we have to offer for the Holidays and every day.
Greg has been busy stringing lights and winterizing...and Nancy,Blossom and I have been busy gift wrapping, shipping and helping everyone with their lists.
This weekend we are looking forward to a festive Brooklin "happening".Downtown Brooklin will be hopping all day on Saturday. It is the 6th annual Brooklin Inn "Big Box "event (local artists, craftspeople etc offering holiday gifts and free wrapping), In addition, Friend Memorial Library Open House, Brooklin Pottery Co-op Holiday Sale, ARK dog adoption day at Creature Camp, Cheese and Wine tasting at The Cave, Holiday Specials and refreshments at most of our charming shops including Blossom Studio, Maine Hooked Rugs, Gigi Sarsfields hand made paper lampshades and Lauren Allen's Web of the Quill, and don't forget Brooklin's Woodenboat Store..

The legendary Morning Moon Cafe has reopened and will be offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Last, but not least, Betsy's Sunflower will be serving hot mulled cider, holiday cheer and other goodies, as well as offering special sales and a gift basket drawing. Join us to celebrate the season!
